Youngstown Woman Found Guilty of Unlawful Restraint, Endangering Children and Domestic Violence

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Stacie Gilmore, 51, has been found guilty of one count of Unlawful Restraint, two counts of Endangering Children, and one count of Domestic Violence. Gilmore was found guilty following a three-day jury trial. Assistant Prosecutors Daniel Yozwiak and Caitlyn Andrews successfully prosecuted the case.

Boardman police arrested Gilmore in 2023 for Endangering Children. Shortly after her arrest, she was indicted on one count of kidnapping, two counts of endangering children, and one count of domestic violence. The investigation began after a child was found wandering alone in Target. Officers determined that the child had been in Gilmore’s care. Following further investigation, the Mahoning County Children’s Services Board removed the child from the home due to evidence of physical abuse.

Gilmore will be sentenced on a later date.
