Domestic Violence Awareness Drive

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Mahoning County Prosecutor Gina DeGenova is excited to announce the 4TH annual Donation Drive for local domestic violence shelters.  The Donation Drive has been coordinated over the years by students at South Range High School, who have worked to spread the drive to other schools in Mahoning County.
The Donation Drive is based on a “wish list” of items identified by the Sojourner House Domestic Violence Program. Sojourner House, a program of COMPASS Community and Family Services, provides shelter and other essential services to victims of domestic violence across Mahoning County.

Each year, schools across Mahoning County come together to collect supplies and raise awareness for the Sojourner House Domestic Violence Program.

Donations can also be dropped off in the lobby of the Mahoning County Administration Building, located at 21 W. Boardman Street, Youngstown, OH 44503, and the Mahoning County Courthouse, located at:

120 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44503 from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the entire month of October.

Any other schools or local organizations who wish to participate can contact Isabella Caruso-Harris
