46-year-old Dustin Ruiter was convicted of raping several minors
Dustin Ruiter was sentenced to 77 years behind bars after being convicted of rape.
All of Ruiter’s victims were minors. The sexual assaults involved three victims at 16, 15, and 14.
Ruiter was convicted of over 70 sex charges involving minors; 33 were felony rape and sexual battery charges, and he was found guilty on all counts.
The state called 13 witnesses during the four-day trial, while the defense only had 2, including the defendant.
Ruiter will also need to register as a Tier III sex offender every 90 days for the rest of his life if/when he is released from prison.
