Bringing awarness to National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Here at the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office, we are taking the entire month of January to bring awareness to an atrocity that hits home, slavery, and Human Trafficking.

Since 2010, January has been deemed slavery and human trafficking prevention month.

The Prosecutor’s Office has handled several high-profile Human Trafficking cases, including the first case to be tried in the county.

This month, we plan to highlight those cases, bring awareness to the issue, some preventative measures being made in the area, and talk to experts fighting to help victims and fight slavery & human trafficking at its roots.
