YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Monday, November 25, 2024) – 51-year-old Leonard Sykes was found guilty on several counts of rape, amongst other charges. A Mahoning County Judge issued the ruling following a bench trial.
Sykes was found guilty of three counts of rape, importuning, and disseminating material harmful to a juvenile.
Sykes was tracked down by the US Marshals in 2022. Sykes was found in an apartment with a missing juvenile. It was discovered that Sykes had been sexually abusing the juvenile and exchanging inappropriate messages and photographs with her.
Sykes will be sentenced at a later date.
