Campbell man sentenced for the murder of 76-year-old

Youngstown (OH) – R’Trell Miller entered a guilty plea to murder last week.  John Juhasz, Chief of the Mahoning County Criminal Division, successfully negotiated the plea.  Miller was arrested and charged with murder following an investigation into the beating death of the 76-year-old victim at a Campbell home in October of 2024. The defendant entered the guilty plea in Judge R. Scott Krichbaum’s court. Miller plead guilty to one count of murder and was handed a sentence of 15 years to life.

“The plea to murder is consistent with my commitment to seeking a life sentence when a life is taken.  This resolution in this case ensures that justice is served for the victim and their family while reflecting the seriousness of this crime,” said Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro.

Maro credits and thanks the Campbell Police Department for their hard work that helped convict Miller of murder.
