Boardman Man Found Guilty of Domestic Violence Following Two-Day Trial

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Gregory Mahone, 23, was found guilty of several charges, including Domestic Violence, Intimidation, and Retaliation, following a jury trial. The jury trial was held in Judge Anthony Donofrio’s courtroom over two days. The charges stem from an altercation at an apartment on Glenwood Avenue in Boardman. Mahone was found guilty of Intimidation, Retaliation, Domestic Violence, Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, and Endangering Children. Assistant Prosecutor Kyle Hilles successfully prosecuted the case.

In September of 2024, Police were called to an apartment in Boardman because of a physical altercation. Mahone hit the victim several times before a witness called the police to the apartment. Mahone was arrested following an investigation. The victim was transported to Mercy Health Boardman and treated for their injuries. Mahone was indicted in late 2024.

Mahone will be sentenced at a later date.
