Man Found Guilty of Trespassing into a Habitation and Criminal Damaging

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Assistant Prosecutors Kyle Hilles and Patrick Fening secured a guilty verdict following a bench trial before Judge Maureen Sweeney.

Edward Dobran III, 35, was found guilty of Trespassing, a Felony of the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Damaging, a Misdemeanor of the second degree, following the trial. Judge Sweeney issued the guilty Verdict after the half-day bench trial.

During the trial, prosecutors proved that Dobran unlawfully entered his ex-partner’s residence, stole personal property, and damaged the home. Evidence also showed that Dobran slashed the victim’s tires and stole money during the incident.

Dobran now faces a potential sentence of eighteen months in prison. He will be sentenced at a later date.
