YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A man who pleaded guilty to the rape of a teenage victim has been sentenced in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. Judge Anthony D’Apolito ordered 65-year-old Terrance Jefferies to a term of five to seven and a half years in prison.
As part of his sentence, Jefferies has been classified as a Tier III sex offender, the most serious designation, requiring him to register with his local county Sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life. Jefferies and his co-defendant, Mildred Woods, were arrested in 2024 in connection with the case involving a minor.
The victim told the Court they were satisfied with the outcome and had asked that the case be resolved without going through a trial. That request was taken into consideration as the case moved forward.
Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro credited Assistant Prosecutor Caitlyn Andrews and the Campbell Police Department for their work in bringing this case to a successful resolution.
