YOUNGSTOWN, (Ohio) – A man from Milton Township will spend 6 – 7 ½ years behind bars following his sentencing Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. Kelly Wiseman had been convicted at trial on all eight charges against him last month, including multiple counts of felonious assault and firearms charges, following an incident in Milton Township in July 2024.
Assistant Prosecutors Kyle Hilles and Edward Walsh successfully proved that Wiseman had fired shots at several of his neighbors as well as responding police officers.
Although the State had recommended a prison sentence of 11 to 12 ½ years, Judge Anthony Donofrio handed down a prison sentence of 6 – 7 ½ years of confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections.
Prosecutor Lynn Maro credited Attorneys Hilles and Walsh for their work in obtaining the conviction and sentence.
