YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A 70-year-old man from Boardman will have to register as a sex offender every six months for the next 25 years. Kevin Randolph entered guilty pleas to charges of Felonious Assault and Sexual Battery on Thursday morning in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas.
Randolph had been indicted by the Grand Jury in February of last year in connection with an incident involving a minor. Assistant Prosecutors Kyle Hilles and Caitlin Andrews say the plea agreement was reached with the approval of the victim and his family.
In addition to being labeled a Tier II Sex Offender when he is sentenced in August, the State will recommend that Randolph be sentenced to prison.
